The first Bethel to be instituted was in Omaha Nebraska, on May 7, 1921

Delaware's Bethel #1 was started at the Hotel DuPont in Wilmington and was Instituted on October 24, 1932 and Chartered on March 10, 1933.

The Bethel had met in several locations in Wilmington, Belfont and Claymont Delaware. The Bethel was closed in January, 1988

Delaware's Bethel #3, which met at Newark Lodge, in Newark Delaware, merged with Bethel #8, New Castle, Delaware on December 22, 2004.

Bethel #4 started at Grace Methodist Church in Wilmington, then moved to the Unitarian Church, then the Odd Fellows Building, then to the Scottish Rite building and then moved to Middletown in 1992 where it continues to meet today.

Bethel #4 was Instituted on April 14, 1956 and Chartered on November 1, 1956.

"Back in the Day", there was an adult job at Supreme titled "Inspector" which continues even today as the Supreme Deputy to a Jurisdiction.

In 1958-59 Gertrude and Raymond Grubb were the first Grand and Associate Grand Guardians of Delaware. The Grubb's were the parents of Bernice (Grubb) Newth who was Grand Guardian in 1985-86. The Grubb's were the Grand Parents of Donna (Newth) Haines, who was the Grand Guardian in 1996-97.

The words "Under God" were added to the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag on Flag Day - June 14, 1954. That will be 50 years come this summer.
